The video features Riko Sugama - a traditional Ryūkyū dancer originally from Okinawa. She says “Okinawa, former Ryūkyū having suffered the most devastating effects of World War II in Japan, still bears the scars of war. Today, 70% of all U.S. military bases in Japan are located in Okinawa, and the continuous presence of these bases means that the people of Okinawa live with the daily risk. This historical and ongoing burden has instilled in Okinawans a profound desire for peace.” “The concept of "HADO" explores the power of women, the force of water, and the power of the dragon myth, symbolizing balance and the essence of the universe. This aligns with the spirit of Ryukyu dance, which embodies harmony, peace, and a deep connection to nature.” Huge thanks to everyone who helped and made this happened!!
